1. Alpha Arbutin
� Competitive inhibition of tyrosinase enzyme, which catalyzes conversion of tyrosine ? DOPA ? melanin.
� Reduces melanin biosynthesis in melanocytes without cytotoxicity.
� Acts as a controlled hydroquinone-releasing prodrug, providing depigmenting activity with better safety

2. Kojic Acid
� Chelates copper ions at the active site of tyrosinase, rendering the enzyme inactive.
� Suppresses melanin formation in melanocytes.
� Exhibits antioxidant activity, reducing oxidative pigmentation triggers

3. Asyntra SL (Hexylresorcinol Derivative / Skin Lightening Peptide Complex)
� Inhibits tyrosinase and TRP-1 (Tyrosinase Related Protein-1) involved in melanogenesis
� Downregulates MITF signaling pathway, reducing melanocyte activity
� Suppresses melanosome formation and maturation

4. Glycolic Acid
